There are two primary ways of adding items in Sirap.io:
Open the Add item view by clicking on its icon in the menu bar (keyboard shortcut: +
)
Use Quick add in the items view by clicking on the '+' button on the left-hand side below each Workspace.
This page enables you to create a new item, including updating various properties.
To add an item, enter a title and select a workspace from the top-leftmost dropdown.
All other properties are optional and can be added later. Click ‘Add item’ to add the item to your team’s collection. If you’re adding multiple items, click the ‘Stay on page’ anchor icon.
You can directly add images and videos to the item description using copy and paste and drag-and-drop.
On the right-hand side of the page, there are tabs that can be expanded and contracted. These tabs allow you to modify item properties like status, priority, and assignee. You can also add files to the new item.
Note that the new item is created only when you click ‘Add item’. If you don’t submit the item and navigate to another page, the system stores your draft item until you reload the app.
Quick add is a speedy method to add items directly from the item view. It generates a placeholder item with just a title, which can be beneficial if you need to add numerous items in a short span.
To initiate quick add, click on the ‘+’ button situated on the lower left corner of the workspace where you intend to add items. In the text field that materializes, input the title and press Enter
or click the ‘Add’ button.
Help! I can't see the items I'm adding!
If you don't see the items your adding but don't get any error messages, don't be alarmed. Your items have been added, it's just that you can't see them in your current view.
Items you add might not be immediately visible depending on a number of factors, such as the current filter settings, category, sort order, and pagination. Here are some things to check if you can't see the items you add:
Sorting: All items, including new items, will appear according to the current sort order. If you're sorting by date/time (default), new items appear at the top, older items at the bottom. To have new items appear at the bottom of the list, similar to how you would add items to a todo list, make sure you are sorting by time/date and then reverse the sort order by clicking on the button.
Filters: Check the current filter settings. If you're filtering items, chances are your added item might not meet the filtering criteria.
Pagination: For each workspace, you can choose how many items appear in a single view. If you've reached the maximum number of items per page, new items will appear on the next page. Use the pagination controls to navigate to the page to which your newly added items are added.
Categories: If you're viewing items in a specific category, such as 'Assigned' or 'Involved', new items you create will only appear if they fit the rules of that category. Change your category to 'All' to see all items. To do this, open the sidebar and click on the 'All' category.
