To foster initiative, our design philosophy prioritizes action over permission. Hence, we intentionally designed Sirap.io to avoid things like restrictions on who can perform certain tasks, permissions that need to be granted frequently, who can see what, and so on.
In our experience, these restrictions often hinder and actively obstruct work, especially for small and medium-sized teams that are just looking to get things done. Therefore, we allow all team members to view all items, comment on all items, edit item and workspace titles and descriptions. Each team member's actions get recorded and logged, so it's clear to anyone who's done what.
However, Sirap.io has some necessary role restrictions. As a user, you need to know about these:
๐ OWNER
Each team has an Owner, who is the individual 'owns' the team. The Owner is the only user who can change the teamโs tier, such as from โFreeโ to โProโ. The Owner can't leave the team, and there can be only one owner per team.
๐ ADMINISTRATOR
The Owner is also an Administrator of the team. Administrators have the authority to add and remove team members, perform various system maintenance tasks, and access some additional options and settings. Administrators can decide and grant other team members administrative status. There can be any number of administrators on a team.
๐ TEAM MEMBER
A Team member is a regular user of the system.
